For parents
Learning to code – safely and for free.
Codelix is a learning site for Python and robotics. Here's what matters at a glance.
No data, no accounts
Your child doesn't need to sign up anywhere. There are no cookies, no ads, no trackers and no chat. Progress is only stored in the browser on your device.
Nothing to install
Python runs right in the browser. The code your child writes stays on the device and isn't uploaded.
What your child learns
Programming with Python – step by step from “Hello world” to their own games. Plus logical thinking, finding mistakes and not giving up when something doesn't work straight away. Later they control a robot in the simulator (LEGO SPIKE).
How much time?
A lesson takes 20–45 minutes. A little regularly beats a lot rarely: 20 minutes two or three times a week is enough for good progress.
Shared links
Children can share programs as links. The code is inside the link itself; nothing is uploaded. The games page reminds them never to enter passwords or real details – it's worth talking about that together.
How you can help
Ask your child what their program does – explaining it makes the learning stick. On “My progress” you can see completed lessons and badges, and print a certificate.
